Biovision FCP (Farmer Communication Program) is so far a 3-pronged open source Farmer Information Hub with East Africa HQ at ICIPE, Kenya including
- The Organic Farmer Magazine (TOF) www.organicfarmermagazine.org,
- TOF radio and
- Infonet-Biovision www.infonet-biovision.org an online Farmer communication website also available in yearly updated cd format for use in areas with no or poor internet connectivity. The last edition of cd's was in April 2010, and contains in addition to the 4H farmer information files also all editions of The Organic Farmer Magazine and all radio programs produced up to March 2010.
Biovision FCP aims to bridge the gap between Agriculture Research and user application and aims to format all the information in farmer friendly language and instructional formats. Contributions for content is welcomed from a wide partner organization network, in addition to our own practical research on farmer demanded content
End 2010 we have evaluated several outreach and information feedback approaches and a report will be ready early 2011 with lessons learned and way forward tentatively identified
