Agriculture is the backbone of the Kenyan economy. It contibutes immensely to the growth and development of the economy through foreign exchange earnings. Some of the major export earners for the country in the agricultural sector are tea, coffee, horticulture, wheat, sugarcane, maize and keeping livestock.
