The Dissemination of New Agricultural Technologies in Africa (DONATA) Quality Protein Maize (QPM) project is being implemented by four focal point NARIs with their partners in each of the target countries- DR Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The NARIs are INERA in Democratic Republic of Congo, KARI in Kenya, MAFC in Tanzania and NARO in Uganda. CIMMYT is providing technical coordination and scientific backstopping. It aims at enhanced dissemination and uptake of QPM technologies in the ECA Sub-Region. The project commenced on July 1st 2008 with the launching at country level between August and September 2008.
