BACKGROUND:

Kasese Muslim Secondary School is a community based project. This school started in 2007 and currently has an enrolment of 170 students.

FOUNDATION BODY:

Kasese Muslim Education Centre (KAMEC) KAMEC is a community based organisation duly registered with Kasese District Development Network (KADDE-NET). Among the objectives of KAMEC is to establish education institutions and to promote quality education.

SCHOOL  MISSION:

To provide affordable quality all round education in order to produce balanced morally up right and innovative hard working citizens.

SCHOOL CURRICULUM:

The school is a day and ‘O’ level centered school it offers both Arts and Sciences as per UNEB syllabi.


ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE:
The school stresses the importance of conserving the environment. The following can serve as a manifestation.After construction we realized that vegetation and soil as component of environment were affected. The school and its environment activists have under gone pass-palm plantation to restore green vegetation.

The school inaugurated a tree plating day and environment club whole soul purpose is to protect the existing environment and establish innovative measures of promoting it.

 

 

The school site is not within the road reserve there is enough space left for extension of public utilities like electricity, water, telephone etc.The school site was of general a semi-desert climate however, we have tried to tame it into a friendly one.   

 

The school posses piped water and a pit latrine which can be empted when full. Beside there is no population pressure which may over strain the environment e.g. soil erosion etc.

     

OTHER STRONG POINTS:

·   The school has a committed administration and experienced management team.

·   The school is located in a conducive environment for serious studies.

·   There is reliable piped water at the school.

·   The school has a large piece of land for co-curricular activities and for expansion.
