The photographs point to an obvious damage to the bean plants by Angular leaf spot (Phaeoisariopsis griseola). This is the most prevalent disease of beans in Uganda, signs and symptoms appear first on the lower leaf surface as grey spots which turn brown and become covered by fungal mycelia and conidia growth which is gray to black in colour. Plant debris and infected seed are the main sources of infection. Wind, wind-driven rain, and soil are the principal means of dissemination.
